The Madu bag truly embodies the spirit of Afropian. It blends Ethiopia (crosses), Cote d’Ivoire (Akan gold weights and brass pendants) Ghana (trade beads) and Niger (reclaimed, antique leather).
This bag can be worn as a bag, as a necklace or used a part of your home decor. It is one-of-a-kind beauty. We took apart a very old leather pouf from Niger and turned it into a bag that we decorated with beads, crosses and brass pendants. It is surprisingly light and is quite the statement.
The Madu bag is also fully handstitched.
