A lightweight poncho, made of handwoven Ethiopian cotton. Finely embroiedered with orange “Kirr” (Ethiopian yarn). This is a free size and fits all. It can be worn long, short or as a large scarf.
A special note: The Ethiopian cotton used by Afropian is woven by a group of women who used to be “donkey women”, meaning they would carry heavy loads of wood from the hills of Entoto to the city of Addis Ababa. They are now trained weavers. They work as a cooperative and are self-sufficient.
